In my earnest opinion, the updated ending shown here completely eliminates the tone of the film. Call it bias, as I really and truly enjoyed the film as I saw it in theaters, but this ending shown here ruins the film for me.

Creepy story based on the short story from Steven King. I felt the acting and cinematography in the film was excellent.

The projected images of older times in black and white displaying previous tenants jumping from the building was a bit much as it seemed to connected to that being portrayed from a television set.

I liked the deviation of the story from the original story and it did a great job of portraying the lead as a prisoner. I was a bit disappointed in the ending, however, as it was!

I found that disappointing in that it appeared that the producers of the film attempted to make it some how more unsettling, but I found the original ending much more clever.

I had no idea the ending of this rental version had been changed on this version from the one I saw in the theater, and in previous cable runs.
