User Reviews Great Movie! When they are leaving for the trip she has dark hair roots. When Curt is on his motorcycle there is a closeup camera shot of him and his hands.
The motorcycle he is riding is equipped with a twist throttle and he is clearly revving the engine using his right hand, which would be correct.
However, later in the shot he is shown revving the throttle with his left hand, which would be the hand the clutch is operated with.
Bottles of beer are shown up to their necks in water in a cooler, and one bottle is shown being extracted from the cooler with water dripping from it.
In the next shot when the bottle is tossed to someone, it is clearly completely dry. When Jules is trying to having sex and opens her shirt, her head is leaning right, but when the camera angle change, her head is leaning left.
Also, Curt's hand is on Jules' stomach, but when the camera changes, his hand is on top of Jules' thigh. The betting board should have had every possible monster listed on it, given there were dozens of creatures seen that were not on the board but could have been chosen by the five sacrifices in the basement.
Also typical betting pools don't allow for an option of no winner, so every creature should have been bet on by someone or some department.
In the cabin it looks like both rooms are equally dimly lit. Negra Model beer does not have a screw top closure. Sitterson can be seen drinking from the bottle, which would clearly require an opener.
The RV has a traditional rearview mirror and side mirrors. The side mirrors make sense for an oversized vehicle, but the rearview wouldn't help the driver, as all it would show the driver is the interior of the RV.

It was my second horror movie i ever purchased with my own money and boy did I love it. Just the concept alone is academy award worthy.
Because it shows a representation of how the horror genre is evolving from cliches to art. It takes a man at them while also paying homages to them.
If you see closely when she is trapped in the cube. Ahead of her inside one of the cubes is Quentin tarantino worshipping a zombie's foot.
This film tries to put its tongue in its cheek so hard it has left a big, gaping hole that should have been filled by a great film. Let me start off by saying that I actually like Whedon's work.
Most of the stuff he's done is quite enjoyable. Here, however, he is at his worst. Every single twist, turn and reveal felt like him screaming at me: 'Hah!
Look at how clever I am! I am reinventing the entire genre! The problem with Whedon's script is that he has actually written two films.
One a rather funny, sometimes hilarious comedy. Two, a boring and generic horror film. Somewhere in between lies the idea of a great film, which is….
Love the unique and original take this film brought out. It convincingly plays into those horror tropes that we all know about when it comes to the specific genre very conveniently while also making fun of it at the same time which ultimately made this such a blast from the minute it starts.
Thought the college friends cast with the five talented actors who portrayed them were great in how they allegedly handled things, but it's the climax and the ending of this that were definitely what made this film so extraordinary by the time it reaches that pivotal point.
Countless multitude of horror references from what made the horror genre what it is today, too! Don't want to spoil those details specifically because this is certainly a film you want to go into as blind as possible for sure.
Make sure to check this one out if you haven't. Except for Richard Jenkins in Step Brothers. And for this line: "It was the pioneer days; people had to make their own interrogation rooms.
Everyone said it just gets better with repeat viewings and this is where I give all of those people an enthusiastic fanboy high five because it's so, so true.
I am almost certain I enjoyed The Cabin in the Woods more last night than when I originally watched it back in Others have said that dissecting horror films has been done before and while I'm inclined to agree with that, I'm not sure it has ever been done as well as it has here.
In taking the perspective of the "ancient ones" and those trying to please them, you can't help but see the parallels to genre fans.

I can handle the truth. Seeing Richard Jenkins yell " Fuck You" to a screen filled with 9 year old Japanese school girls is extremely funny to me.
This is the most fun I've had watching a film this year. But no. Every film has one. Watch enough films and you learn the formulas, perhaps even subconciously; and it can ruin the film for you.
It drains a film of tension, it makes a film predictable. And in no other genre is the formula more apparent than in horror.
It is no different to any other film in that respect. I bought this on DVD when I was what 13? It was my second horror movie i ever purchased with my own money and boy did I love it.

The RV has a traditional rearview mirror and side mirrors. The side mirrors make sense for an oversized vehicle, but the rearview wouldn't help the driver, as all it would show the driver is the interior of the RV.
It doesn't make much sense that activating System Purge would release all the monsters into the facility, nor why it would be so easy to do with the flipping of a switch and push of a button.
It would make far more sense that a System Purge would destroy all the monsters in the event of a security breach. It also makes no sense why any of the cells would be able to open into the lobby in the first place.
When Dana is getting to save Holden by stabbing a zombie coming through a ceiling trapdoor in the chest repeatedly, as she backs away, you can clearly see she is holding a retractable stage property kitchen knife.
When Curt jumps into the force field the point of impact is impossibly high. When Jules makes out with the wolf, its teeth and jaw jiggle as if made of rubber.
The goof items below may give away important plot points. When Marty is attacked he is stabbed in the back by Judah Buckner - hole and blood stains clearly shown.
When he is in the elevator with Dana it is clear there is no cut on his back - the shirt is whole. During the tunnel collapse, Curt looks straight ahead for a brief interior shot, when before and after he is clearly hanging his head out the side window.
When Marty supposedly dies early in the movie, he is stabbed in the back by a trowel. However when he appears later in the film, although there's still blood on his back, there is no wound.
The downstairs assumes that Marty is killed by Judah Buckner. However, an earlier shot shows that the downstairs is monitoring everybody's vitals, so they should have known that Marty survived the attack.
When Dana is down on the dock after she escapes from the vehicle in the lake, one of the Bruckner men lifts her up over his head and throws her down on the dock.
Dana is clearly a dummy with the legs somewhat bent at the knee and remaining frozen in that position the entire time.
Once the dummy hits the dock and rolls once or twice, the camera angle changes and we see Dana on the dock pushing herself up after being "thrown".
