I didn't know anything about the show before renting this, but man I am so glad I did. I really don't get the complaints about Jeremy Jordan. He's handsome, he can sing, and he's a solid actor.

The songs were done as well as they could on film, but the locations shoots seemed to restrained and missed some great visual shots of New York that would have lifted the film up a bit.

If you love the score and who doesn't love most if not all of Jason Robert Brown's scores then you will love this film, for people who have never seen a production of the show on stage, I think they will be a bit confused and bewildered as to why is this film almost entirely sung-thru with pretty much only 2 people?
